Financial giving is an expected part of following Jesus and an important part of church involvement. To read key scriptures and explore Biblical teaching on financial giving, please click here, or take some time to watch the teaching video below.
Central is a 501(c)3 organization, and all contributions are tax-deductible, and a yearly receipt will be provided.
There are three ways to give at Central:
Put money in the drop box in the auditorium. You may give by cheque or cash. If you give by cash and would like your gift to be included in your year-end tax receipt, please use one of the giving envelopes (found on top of the drop box) and be sure to include your name and address.
Give by direct, monthly withdrawal. For convenience and consistency in giving, many prefer to give by direct monthly withdrawal from a chequing account. To give in this way please download the direct withdrawal form, fill it out, and return it along with a blank, voided cheque to an usher, pastor or the church office. You may change or cancel this giving at any time by contacting the church office. Click here to download form and instructions.
Give online using your debit card, credit card or Paypal account. This method allows you to give one time or set up a recurring give through Paypal. If you wish to make a recurring donation you will be required to set up a Paypal account. Paypal is a very secure internet service used by millions of people daily, and it provides the most inexpensive way for non-profits to receive payment through debit or credit. All donations will be included in your yearly tax receipt. To donate now scroll to the bottom of the page.
At Central we have two primary offerings we take:
General Fund. Each week, people have an opportunity to give to our General Fund. 100% of this money goes directly to the work of God’s Kingdom locally and globally. We budget the first part of this fund to support Christian work beyond the ministries of our church supporting many missionaries both locally and internationally and many organizations that are involved in the spread of the gospel and other practical, helpful ministries. The remaining 80% goes to fund the various ministries of Central.
Benevolent Fund. Each time we share in communion (typically the first Sunday of each month), there is an opportunity to give to our Benevolent Fund (baskets found on each of the communion tables). This money is used by our pastors and deacons to help those with urgent, practical needs in our church body and beyond.
If you have any questions of the specifics of these methods or other giving questions, please contact Pastor Iain.
