For followers of Jesus, financial generosity is a wonderful opportunity to imitate God’s generosity, to show our gratefulness to him, and to tangibly express a small piece of our desire to follow Jesus together. As a church, we are committed to carefully managing all that is entrusted to us, and to stewarding our resources to further God’s Kingdom. It is through your support that the ministries of Central are able to flourish and grow. Every gift makes an impact, no matter the size.

We believe church community is the context where Jesus changes lives, and it is with this heart that we invite you to give towards the ministry and mission of Central--to welcome the blessing of continued growth, to meet the needs of a larger and ever more diverse body of believers, to equip and release one another into the city and beyond, and to always be able to welcome the next person seeking to pursue life with Jesus.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

There are four main funds you can support. In each, 100% of what is given goes directly to the work of God’s Kingdom locally and globally.

General Fund. This is the primary fund that allows the ministry and outreach efforts of our church to thrive. By giving to the General Fund you are supporting all of Central’s initiatives along with partnerships with dozens of local and international missionaries and organizations.

Building Together. This fund supports the Building Together project, an effort to revitalize our Connors Hill facility into something far more outreach-oriented and inviting to a broader community of believers and seekers, and to reduce the debt for our Southeast site, launched in a new and growing area in our city. For more project details please visit

Benevolent Fund. This fund is used by our Ministry Staff and leadership to help those with urgent, practical needs in our church body and beyond. There is an opportunity to contribute towards this fund each time that we take communion, typically the first Sunday of each month.

Missions Endowment Fund. Created in 2009, this is a growing investment fund that produces interest each year. 100% of spendable earnings go to support local and international mission work beyond our church. To learn more or support this fund, please contact the office.

Ways to Give

There are a variety of ways to give towards the life-changing ministry and outreach work of Central. A charitable receipt will be issued for all gifts.

Offerings (Cash or Cheque). At each of our Sunday gatherings, an invitation will be given to contribute in the weekly offering. In order to designate giving to Building Together, please indicate this on your envelope and in the cheque memo line.

Office (Cash or Cheque). You may mail or hand-deliver (during normal office hours) your contribution directly to the church office.

Pre-authorized Debit (PAD). This is a simple way to give monthly to the General Fund and/or Building Together. For more information or to set-up PAD giving, download the PAD Guide.

Credit Card / Paypal. You may contribute by credit card by making a one-time donation or setting up automatically recurring contributions through Paypal, a secure, online solution that offers reduced processing rates to Canadian charities and provides access to change or cancel contributions at any time.

Interac e-Transfer. This is a convenient way to give directly from your bank account by email. As well, most banks allow you to set up automatically recurring e-transfers that you can change or cancel on your own. To give to the General Fund, email [email protected]. For Building Together, email [email protected]. Please set up the e-transfer as follows:

Special Gifts. For some, there may be special ways to give that require more expertise but are advantageous both to Central and to the donor. Central is able to receive assets from securities, bequests, life insurance, personal property, real estate, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, and more. For more information on these giving options, download the one-page special gifts guide (below). To discuss Special Gifts options, please contact the church office to request a conversation with someone from our Stewardship Team.

Thank you so much for your faithful support of Central’s ministry and outreach efforts. Every gift makes a difference, no matter the size!
