Making Space | extended time with Jesus in the midst of a busy world. Join us for a weekend of “making space” for the presence and voice of God in our lives. This event will run at our Sherwood Park site April 19-20 (7pm-10pm on Friday and 9:30am-9:30pm on Saturday). Drinks and refreshments will be provided throughout the weekend along with lunch and dinner on Saturday.
Throughout the retreat, you’ll be guided along a path with extended time for worship, solitude, prayer and sharing what you’re hearing with others. There will be no pressure to pray or share in ways that are uncomfortable for you. The pace will be slow, and the impact will be deep. The retreat will end by joining many others from Central for a time of praise and celebration at the All Church Worship Night!

You will hear about our vision and direction at Central, and you’ll have an opportunity to get to know others who are starting to plug in at Central, too. This class is FOR ALL THREE SITES and is required for formally joining Central.

Join us on Easter Sunday, March 31st, as we celebrate that Jesus’ death was not the end of the story. He is alive! These services are a great opportunity to invite a friend to consider the good news of Jesus and life found in Him. Easter Sunday services will be held at 9am & 11am at Connors Hill, Southeast, and Sherwood Park. We will also have a hosted online service at 10am that will be available on demand after 12pm.
Please note that Kids Ministry for young children (age 0-preschool) will be offered on Easter Sunday.
Every year, at the Easter Service, we receive an offering for ministries outside of Central. This year, our offering will go towards Mission of Grace in Haiti where Kim O’Dwyer, a Central supported missionary, is currently serving, and also to Camp Falcon Rock in Romania. Please be praying about how the Lord may be asking you to participate! For those who do decide to give, please clearly designate your offering for Easter.
Worship with us on Good Friday, March 29th either in person or online as we remember Jesus’ sacrifice for us. Good Friday Services will be held at Connors Hill, Southeast, and Sherwood Park at 10:30am. There will also be a hosted online service at 10:30am which will then be available on demand starting at 12:30pm.
Join men from across our church in the pursuit of following Jesus at our Sexually Healthy Man Workshop.
This workshop, presented by Matt Cline, director of Restored Ministries, is designed to equip men to grow in purity, find victory over sexual temptation, and live a life that honours God and leads others in service. This workshop will be hosted at the Sherwood Park site on Friday, March 15th at 7pm. It is open to the public, so please invite your friends who may benefit from this opportunity especially if they are without a church family of their own. Admission is a $5 suggested donation. Safe Families surrounds families in crisis with caring, compassionate community. They are a movement fueled by compassion to keep children safe and families intact. Through Host Families, Family Friends, and Family Coaches, they temporarily host children and provide a network of support to families in crisis while they get back on their feet. God has been growing this ministry in Edmonton, and Safe Families invites you to come learn more about this ministry and how to support them on Saturday, March 9th at 7pm at our Southeast site.

The Mustard Seed seeks to eliminate homelessness and reduce poverty while building hope and well-being for our most vulnerable citizens through Jesus’ love. To help them in this, Central is doing “Share the Warmth,” a donation drive for some of the most urgently needed items. Summer Day Camp will be the week of July 15 – 19. The theme this year is Start the Party – Celebrate the Good News! People who follow Jesus will always have a reason to celebrate and that’s what we will be doing this year at our Day Camp. The next generation needs you. Will you choose to show them how to celebrate who Jesus is. Will you help point kids to the God who loves them and sent his Son to have a relationship with them?
We are looking for people who want to make a difference in a kid’s life this summer. You can be a youth or an adult to help out. There are a wide variety of roles, from behind-the-scenes to leading a small group and everything in between. Some roles are completed before camp, and some are during the week of camp. This will be a full-day camp from Monday to Thursday and a half-day on Friday where we will end with a hot dog BBQ at lunch time.

Critical Conversations is a ministry and outreach initiative that extends an invitation to parents and caregivers seeking valuable insights into topics relevant to raising children and youth. This event provides a platform for engaging discussions and the opportunity to connect with others facing similar concerns.
Come join the conversation! Enjoy an evening where you’ll get to hear a presentation and engage in discussion with other adults over coffee and desserts. The topic for February 10th is “Parenting in a Sexualized World” presented by Matt Cline, director of Restored Ministries. This workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to learn how to confidently have productive, shame-free conversations about sex with their kids and protect their kids from exposure to pornography. This event is for adults only, so unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate kids or youth.

Join us on Wednesday as we gather in separate rooms – men, women, and youth – for a powerful night of prayer. This is an opportunity for each group to dive into areas uniquely suited to them, creating a space for connection, support, and spiritual growth. All youth (grades 7-12) are invited to join this special night, while men and women can pray into specific needs within their respective communities. It's a night to care for one another and experience the strength found in collective prayer.
For the men & women, the evening will begin at 7pm and go until 8:15pm. The youth will meet from 7-9pm.

January 21-28 is prayer week at Central! As a church, we want to set this week in January apart as a special time to pray, fast and lean into the Lord in a focused way—to share with Jesus what is on our hearts, and to hear from him what he would like to say. For more information, please CLICK HERE.

Join us either in person or online on Christmas Eve for our celebration of Jesus’ birth. These one-hour services for the whole family will include Christmas carols, videos, and Scripture readings. While the services will be enjoyable for all ages, we plan to provide childcare for the youngest of our guests (ages 0-3). Towards the end of the service, we will join together in song and light candles, so for those joining us online please have some candles ready for lighting at the end of the service.
We will have in person services at 2:00pm and 4:00pm at Connors Hill, Southeast and Sherwood Park. Note that there will be NO regular Sunday morning services.

Hope Mission’s Family Wellness Program and Tegler Youth Centre are conducting a Toy Drive!
The Tegler Youth Centre will hold the 2023 Christmas Shop where parents referred by Tegler can “shop” for Christmas presents for free. To help provide a fun Christmas for these families, we will be collecting toys and other items on Tegler’s Christmas Wish List. Copies of the wish list are available below, in the foyer, and in The Weekly News. You can donate starting Sunday, November 12th at all of our sites. The last day for donating is Sunday, December 10.

Resurgence is a group of people living for Jesus Christ. They are an Edmonton-based movement seeking to love God, experience Him, and love others, and they have monthly gatherings for all ages and denominations at various locations throughout the Edmonton region. Come join us for our Jingle Jam Family Christmas Breakfast on Saturday, December 2nd from 9 -11:30am. We will start off the morning with a pancake breakfast in the gym, then we will move to the sanctuary for an interactive Christmas program. After the program, there will be games, crafts, cookie decorating and a photo booth. It’s truly a Christmas party big enough for the whole family! Don’t miss out on the fun!
The cost is $25 per family. Jingle Jam is for families and kids of all ages, but the program is geared to elementary kids.
